Working in San Jose area, mountain bike club and purchase??
So here is an interesting one. I am from the UK and will be in San Jose working until May, and (visa permitting will be moving here next year) I have a little interest in maybe mountain biking, but have never tried and have very little idea about the area, what bike (including type, suspension, just rear, just front) would be good to purchase or where a club maybe to join in with. I also have an interest in kayaking maybe but again, as above!!! Any pointers, web addresses, contacts would be greatfully received! Thanks in advance, Stuart San Jose - 1 Answers

Hi There! There is a place in Palo Alto that can help you from start to finish with choosing a bike. I believe the entire staff there is very knowledgeable. Here is the website link..... http://www.paloaltobicycles.com/home.html It's about 25 miles from San Jose. Good luck! :)
